At the restaurant, the breakfast was wonderful with seemingly limitless toast.

Great staff and stunning location near good restaurants! Next to local attractions, how to get around York whether by bus or on foot. Fairly quiet and absolutely fabulous unit with a stylish decor. Upstairs bedrooms and exceptionally comfortable beds.

It was just what we had hoped for.
Our rooms were normal double and reasonably large with a lovely view, the garden, for instance. It was based in very pleasant building in a good location, near good restaurants. Spent our evenings in nearby The Fox and Hounds enjoying drinks and atmosphere.

Very clean room and friendly staff
The WiFi was intermitent at best and the TV did not work properly. whilst we found the walk into centre fine, the website blurb does not accurately reflect the walking time.

The fact that it was close to a bus stop
Advertised Body shop toiletries supplied in each room.... I don't like using toiletries that have been used by someone else. The room was advertised as a suite.....it was an average sized room with a two seater settee at the bottom of the bed, The room was not clean there were hairs round the shower taps and the drain, and a half packet of cigarettes in a drawer. Never anyone on reception to tell about this or ask for something . just a message to " ring this number in case of emergency"Breakfast was nothing special.

My family and I really enjoyed the family room we were put it, it was seperate from the main B&B, so our young child did not disturb anyone. I would say this hotel is more of a 4 star accomodation rather than a 5 star. The furnitiure was clean, but old, electronics to include the TV were not sufficient for watching a program ion the evening. I figured a 5 star woiuld have a;ll the nicest and newest accomodations.

The hotel was lovely- very comfortable. We probabaly had the smallest room in the hotel but it overlooked a lovely garden and was quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows!!! The breakfast was good and there was a good choice.
The television did not pick up many stations

Family suite was spacious and gave privacy. Service was friendly. Breakfast was excellent, Garden / play equipment was a pleasant surprise for a young child.
Slightly longer walk from city centre than we had anticipated.
